M365 Plan 1

This is the basic business-class email service from Microsoft. It gives you a professional email address using your own domain name, along with a 50GB mailbox, spam and malware protection, and access to your email from any device through Outlook on the web, mobile, or desktop.

It’s a simple, cost-effective option for anyone who just needs reliable email and a calendar without the extra features that come with the full Microsoft 365 packages. It doesn’t include apps like Word, Excel, or cloud storage, but for businesses that only need solid email hosting, Plan 1 is often all you need.

M365 Plan 2

Exchange Online Plan 2 builds on the basics you’d get from the simpler plan, but gives you a larger mailbox and extra features that are useful if you handle a lot of email or want stronger data control.

With Plan 2 you get a 100 GB main mailbox (instead of 50 GB), plus access to a much larger archive so you don’t need to delete old emails just to free up space.

You still get the same web, desktop, and mobile email access, spam and malware protection, and calendar/contacts integration that comes with the basic level.

M365 Business Standard

This option provides the full desktop versions of the core Office apps — Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote — along with Access and Publisher for PC users. You also get web and mobile versions of these apps so you can work across devices as well as a 50 GB mailbox.

Each user gets 1 TB of cloud storage through OneDrive for Business, making file sharing and collaboration simple.

Teams and SharePoint are included for communication, online meetings, webinars, and team document sharing, along with extras like Microsoft Loop and Clipchamp for collaborative workspaces and video editing.
